The Korean Pavilion at Gulfood 2024 was a resounding success, with 26 leading Korean companies gathering to exhibit a diverse array of fresh and packaged products, supported by aT Center(Korea Agro-fisheries and food trade corporation). From the exquisite Korean strawberries to the renowned ginseng and delightful Korean persimmons, the pavilion offered a tantalising glimpse into Korea’s rich culinary heritage.
The event commenced with eager anticipation, witnessing the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) between buyers and exporters from Korea, laying the groundwork for promising collaborations. Culinary enthusiasts were in for a treat on day 2 with a captivating live cooking show featuring Chef Maha and Chef Heeyon Lee. From tantalising mushroom pancakes to savory seaweed rice with tuna and indulgent Korean strawberry cheese cake, the chefs skillfully showcased the versatility and flavors of Korean cuisine.
The excitement continued on day 3 with a special visit by Jehseung Yoo, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to UAE, further emphasising the significance of the event in strengthening diplomatic and trade relations. The day was marked by additional MoU signings, underscoring the commitment to fostering international cooperation followed by visits by the leading UAE influencers.
On day 4, attendees were treated to another captivating cooking demonstration by the Chefs. From delectable Korean bulgogi with pear to innovative strawberry mocktails and sweet persimmon pancake, the chefs delighted taste buds and inspired culinary exploration.
