North West Exteriors Enhances Community Care with $1,500 Donation to Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont

North West Exteriors reaffirms its commitment to building a stronger, more compassionate community by giving back. In a shining example of enhanced community care, North West Exteriors proudly supports Hospice and Palliative Care of Piedmont with a $1,500 donation under the leadership of owner Trent Field and partner Al Hodges. North West Exteriors is renowned for its exceptional expertise in exterior cleaning services, including pressure washing, soft washing, gutter cleaning, gutter screening, and more in Greenwood, SC and the surrounding areas.

This heartfelt contribution underscores the company’s dedication to improving property aesthetics and functionality while uplifting the community. Their commitment extends beyond their services, as they actively participate in local initiatives and pledge a percentage of their annual sales to charitable efforts for an impressive six-year period.

Past contributions include impactful support for organizations like Beyond Abuse, Greenwood Pathway House, Lakelands Baptist Association, West Cambridge Park, and Meals on Wheels, further solidifying their role as true champions of community care.

This year, North West Exteriors proudly supported Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont in honor of a deeply personal experience. Rebekah, the wife of North West Exteriors’ owner, Trent, shared how her grandfather received hospice home care services during the last hours of his life.

The family expressed profound gratitude for the care and compassion provided by the hospice staff, describing them as both caring and responsive. “They gave us peace as a family and brought comfort and relaxation to my grandfather in his final moments,” Rebekah shared. By supporting Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont, North West Exteriors hopes to give back to an organization that profoundly impacted their lives and to help ensure that others in the community can receive the same compassionate care.

Trent Field of North West Exteriors, spoke about the company’s dedication to community support, stating, “Growing up through the Boy Scouts, I always knew that giving back was something important to do. Giving back can range from donating money, donating personal items, donating your time, or combining all three. When I established North West Exteriors, one of my ultimate goals was to give back in a big way at least once per year. We have been very fortunate to make small contributions each year since our establishment in 2015, and I’m proud to say that our first big annual donation came to life in 2019. Every year since then, we have annually donated money or our professional services.”

The $1,500 donation was delivered to Charlene Kish, Chief Executive Officer for Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont. Kish expressed gratitude for North West Exteriors’ involvement, stating, “Right now, a lot of our donation proceeds are going towards expanding grief and bereavement services in the community where there is a huge unmet need. We have hired a licensed counselor and are developing a grief support curriculum.” Kish went on to say, “Care of the Piedmont has served the Lakelands area since 1981, delivering hospice care to approximately 500 locals yearly through their Hospice House and Hospice Home Care Services. This number does not reflect the additional patients we serve through their Palliative Care Service.”

According to their website, care is covered by Medicaid, private insurance, and donations. They rely on the generosity of donors, revenue from the local hospice Store, and fundraising initiatives throughout the year to provide care to patients regardless of their ability to pay.

North West Exteriors continues to demonstrate its dedication to uplifting those in need, embodying corporate responsibility, and championing the impact of collective community contributions.

Following their generous donation to Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont, owner Trent Field shared, “I’m proud of Greenwood and our surrounding communities for supporting local causes. Many people are unaware of small business’s positive economic impact on a community. We don’t make a big deal out of these donations to gloat about what we can do, but instead want other local businesses to be aware that if a little 3-person operation can do this every year, so can they.”
