The project, a conceptual exploration of AI-powered nail design, aimed to revolutionize the industry. By leveraging Artificial Intelligence-Generated Content (AIGC), users could create highly personalized nail designs and connect with skilled crafters to bring their ideas to life. The project’s innovative platform empowered users to input their desired design through simple prompts, fostering creativity and self-expression. Its user-friendly interface and AI-powered design tool made it accessible to users of all skill levels.
Heidi, as the creative technologist of the project, crafted the innovative interface for creating nail art that is both playful and inspiring. “As technology continues to shape our creative landscape, it’s crucial to preserve the intrinsic essence of art while engineering it to new heights of impact,” Heidi remarked. This interdisciplinary project came to life through the seamless collaboration among Xi, Yue, and Heidi, with each talented individual inspiring the others through iterative processes. The result is a platform that not only delivers stunning visual outcomes but also ensures the engineering feasibility of personalized nail designs, empowering users to explore and express their creativity like never before.

About Heidi Minghao He
Heidi is a renowned creative technologist and new media artist. With a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Studio Art from Colby College and an MS in Information Systems with a concentration in Connective Media from Cornell University, Heidi has a strong foundation in both technology and art. She has been recognized for her innovative work, receiving the Backslash Art Fellowship in 2021 and being selected as an artist in Snap Spectacle’s creator program. Additionally, her artistic contributions have been celebrated with a gold dotCOMM award. Heidi’s work has been showcased at prestigious venues such as the Colby College Museum of Art, :iidrr Gallery in New York, and LikeLike Gallery in Pittsburgh.
