Despite growing up in an era when pursuing art as a career wasn’t widely encouraged, Crawford followed her passion. She first started working with chalk in her early twenties, creating chalkboards for local breweries. “I’ve done thousands of chalkboards in the past 10 years, and that’s what I do full-time now,” Crawford said.
