About the Author:
Sherri Snider has felt a calling to work with older adults her entire life and served 38 years in long-term care – 26 of those as a nursing home administrator. She has been a certified Validation therapist for 35 years and has conducted numerous training seminars in various locations across Missouri, including churches, colleges and universities, long-term care settings, and training settings for professional healthcare providers and State workers such as Department of Health and Senior Services inspectors and regional ombudsmen.
In 2015, she began traveling abroad to train elder care leaders, social workers, pastors, university students, and mental health professionals in the United States commonwealth of Puerto Rico and in the countries of Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Nicaragua.
Snider holds a Doctor of Ministry from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Master of Social Work from Saint Louis University. Dr. Snider is also a licensed clinical social worker and a licensed nursing home administrator.
