Sichuan Airlines is thrilled to announce the arrival of its latest A350 aircraft, registered as B-32G2, which landed in Chengdu on the morning of June 28. This new addition marks Sichuan Airline’s 8th A350 aircraft, expanding the fleet to a total of 197 aircraft, including five cargo planes.
The newly introduced A350 is the 8th in the series of panda-themed planes, featuring 337 seats designed for ultimate comfort. It features spacious seats, more private business class seating, wide windows, an LED mood lighting system, and an intelligent entertainment system. The livery continues the cartoon image of the panda family based on “San You” (nicknamed “You You”), a giant panda adopted by Sichuan Airlines.
Inside, the cabin environment has been specially themed to celebrate the panda, with panda elements adorning headrests, luggage racks, meal boxes, and more, offering travelers a unique and enjoyable “Panda Journey.”
Since August 8, 2018, when Sichuan Airlines received its first Airbus A350-900 in Toulouse, France, the airline has been among the first in Chinese Mainland to operate this advanced wide-body aircraft. The ongoing integration of the A350 fleet not only enhances passenger experience but also strengthens the airline’s “Panda Route” international strategy.
Over the past decade, Sichuan Airlines has opened more than 50 international and regional routes, with a network covering Asia, Europe, North America, Oceania, and Africa. Many of these intercontinental routes are the first direct flights from China’s central and western regions.
With the summer travel season in full swing, it’s the perfect time to embark on a journey with Sichuan Airlines’ panda-themed A350 aircraft. Experience a unique airborne encounter with China’s treasured giant pandas!
