Nnaji’s academic foundation includes a bachelor’s degree in Shipping Management from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Nigeria, and an MBA in Maritime and Shipping Management from the Berlin School of Business and Innovation in Germany. Currently pursuing a master’s degree in Computer Science and Quantitative Methods at Austin Peay State University, his research is centered on analyzing automotive demand behavior and consumer purchasing patterns. Nnaji is particularly focused on revolutionizing the maritime industry by exploring technological advancements in the shipping sector, a key component of the global economy. His work investigates the transformative impact of AI, blockchain, and machine learning (ML) on supply chain management.
Nnaji’s academic research has provided significant insights into how technology enhances maritime operations. His MBA research examined the integration of the Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, and real-time tracking systems in the maritime industry’s bill of lading process, enabling organizations to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks. His current focus on automotive demand analysis informs decision-making in inventory management and procurement, while also addressing labor shortages in the maritime sector.
The disruptions in global supply chains, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, have underscored the importance of Nnaji’s work. His research on AI-enhanced supply chain security and efficiency, based on a comprehensive survey of over 280 U.S. managers, highlights the critical role of integrating AI and ML into supply chain management. His study emphasized the importance of real-time tracking, cost optimization, and risk management in ensuring security and operational efficiency.
A standout aspect of Nnaji’s career is his leadership experience. He has held key roles, including Presiding Officer and Technical Assistant for the Independent National Electoral Commission, where he managed complex logistical and technical operations. As a Solution Architect at Totalview Media, he developed SQL stored procedures for business logic, created executive dashboards and custom reports using Power BI, and authored technical specifications and designs for business applications. He is also an active member of the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM), where he is being mentored by leading experts in the supply chain and IT industries.
At Austin Peay State University, Nnaji has demonstrated his leadership as a senator and graduate teaching assistant. He has designed and implemented data-driven solutions to enhance student engagement and leveraged Java and NetBeans to streamline database development workflows. His contributions have driven legislative changes and increased student engagement in campus and community initiatives.
