JoAnne Woods Young, M.Ed, a distinguished counselor, speaker, and corporate wellness coach, has been approved for grant funding through the Express Grant, part of the Massachusetts Workforce Training Program. This grant enables JoAnne to bring her transformative workshops to small businesses across Massachusetts, focusing on improving workplace well-being and performance through practical and effective methods.
The Express Grant, offered by the Massachusetts Workforce Training Program, is designed to assist businesses with fewer than 100 employees in accessing critical training and development opportunities. Through this funding, JoAnne will be able to offer her unique programs to help companies cultivate a more positive, engaged, and productive work environment. Her workshops emphasize mindset development, stress reduction, and team building — three crucial areas that drive employee satisfaction and business success.
“My mission is to touch the lives of as many people as possible to show them they have more control over their lives and circumstances than they realize,” she commented, clearly passionate about the new program. “We spend a great deal of time at our jobs, and I want people to feel happy and engaged in their work through some simple and effective techniques.”
As a best-selling author of Stress Less for Student Success, JoAnne has long been committed to helping individuals manage stress and achieve success. In addition to her work with businesses, she continues to inspire students, having spent the last decade speaking at high schools and colleges about the importance of reducing stress and following one’s dreams. Her ability to connect with both young people and professionals sets her apart in her field.
JoAnne’s newest professional development program for schools, Personal Responsibility and Interpersonal Skills, further broadens her reach. This program equips educators and students with the tools needed to take personal responsibility, improve communication, and build more effective teams. In addition, JoAnne continues to serve on several advisory boards for high schools, lending her expertise to guide future leaders.
With a private practice in Easton, MA, JoAnne works with both students and adults, helping them manage stress and improve well-being. She also teaches yoga and meditation to children, further supporting mental and physical health.
Through the support of the Express Grant, JoAnne Woods Young will extend her proven wellness programs to more small businesses, allowing them to benefit from her years of experience and dedication to improving workplace dynamics.
