Los Angeles, CA – October 07, 2024 – The Patriotic Mexican Civic Committee held their annual Mexican Independence parade on East Los Angeles to commemorate “El Grito de Dolores”, the cry of independence that sparked the way for Mexican independence, and the creation of a free nation. Ruddy Rodriguez, who played the first soap opera in Spanish produced and broadcasted in the United States, joined the Mexican parade. The famed Miss Venezuela rode a red convertible with the message of The Way to Happiness, a non-religious moral code based on common sense, which reflects the traditional values of Hispanic communities in Los Angeles and around the world.
For 78 years, the Mexican Independence Parade has brought together the Mexican community living in Los Angeles. This celebration features representatives of all 32 Mexican states with performers and colorful floats.
This parade has been the bridge that connects the community with their birthplace and represents the hope for a better Mexican society and communities.
This is why Ruddy Rodriguez — humanitarian, TV celebrity and spokesperson for the Way to Happiness Foundation — decided to join the parade to share a message of hope and decency.
The Way to Happiness, authored by L. Ron Hubbard in 1981, contains 21 precepts covering basic values. In this book, L. Ron Hubbard wrote: “You are important to other people. You are listened to. You can influence others. … It is in your power to point the way to a less dangerous and happier life.”
The attendees of the parade were given a complimentary copy of The Way to Happiness to help them lead a happier life.
The parade was an unforgettable event with a resounding message of peace and hope.
