Highly Favored Foundation, under the visionary leadership of Alberta Ablordeppey, has announced the expansion of its operations across Africa, marking a new chapter in its commitment to uplifting underserved communities. Founded as a 501(c)(3) non-profit, Highly Favored Foundation focuses on addressing critical issues such as hunger relief, widow empowerment, and support for vulnerable children.
Alberta Ablordeppey, a native of Ghana and now a U.S.-based philanthropist, has driven this organization with a personal mission to provide hope and resources to individuals who have been marginalized or left without support. What started as a local initiative in Cincinnati, Ohio, has now grown into a global endeavor, impacting over 10,000 lives across Ghana and the United States.
Alberta’s journey is rooted in personal experiences of loss and hardship. After the passing of her father, she witnessed her family struggle, facing injustice and economic hardship. This experience ignited her desire to advocate for those facing similar predicaments.
“I wanted to be a voice for those who couldn’t speak for themselves, especially women and children who are often overlooked in times of need,” said Alberta Ablordeppey. “It’s about restoring dignity and hope.”
With a strong focus on natural growth and community-driven initiatives, Highly Favored Foundation has spearheaded various impactful programs. In Ghana, the organization has provided business start-ups for widows in rural villages, allowing them to achieve financial independence and support their families. Additionally, the foundation has implemented hunger relief programs, covered hospital bills for struggling mothers, and offered educational resources for children in need.
In recognition of her work, Alberta has been celebrated by various institutions and leaders. The Mayor of Cincinnati, Aftab Pureval, praised her dedication during the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly her efforts to support homeless residents and women in shelters. “Highly Favored Foundation demonstrated the civic spirit needed to help our community during a time of immense hardship,” said Mayor Pureval. “We look forward to seeing the continued impact of this foundation both locally and abroad.”
As the foundation expands its reach across Africa, Alberta remains focused on empowering women and youth through practical programs and support systems. She envisions Highly Favored Foundation becoming a leader in African philanthropy, helping more individuals rise above their circumstances and achieve sustainable livelihoods.
To complement her philanthropic work, Alberta is also a published author. Her motivational book, Greatness Against All Odds, chronicles her life journey and offers inspiration to readers worldwide. The book’s success, with over 700 copies sold, continues to motivate women and youth facing challenges of their own.
Currently, the Highly Favored Foundation (HFF) is seeking funding to build a small skill training center in Accra, Ghana. This center will provide vocational training to marginalized communities, enhancing employability and economic self-sufficiency. The project aligns with the foundation’s mission to uplift vulnerable populations through practical skills development. The HFF is requesting $60000 to cover construction, equipment, and operational costs related to the new project.
As Highly Favored Foundation looks toward the future, Alberta remains committed to its mission of growth, stating, “Our work has only just begun. There are so many communities in need, and we’re dedicated to ensuring that every individual, no matter their background, can access the resources necessary for a better life.”
