The course will take place from August 5th to 9th, providing a fast-tracked path to sommelier certification.
Course Details
The Accelerated Sommelier Wine Course combines the Foundation and Intermediate levels into an immersive educational experience. Participants will engage in a rigorous curriculum that includes both theoretical knowledge and practical skills essential for wine professionals.
The program will be hosted at the Wine School of Philadelphia, which is located in the Rittenhouse neighborhood in Philadelphia.
Key Highlights
Comprehensive Curriculum: The program covers foundational and intermediate wine tasting techniques, identification of major wine varietals through blind tastings, and an understanding of various wine styles, climates, and regions.
Certification: Successful graduates will receive a Level III Sommelier certification and pin from the National Wine School (NWS). This credential is recognized nationally and is equivalent to those from prestigious institutions like the Court of Master Sommeliers and the Wine & Spirit Education Trust.
Intensive Schedule: Classes run from Monday to Friday, 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm, culminating in an exam preparation and final exam session on Saturday afternoon from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm.
