Boosteroid Cloud Gaming Reaches 4 Million Users in Early 2023

Boosteroid Cloud Gaming has reached almost 4 million subscribers globally, with the US and Europe remaining its largest markets.

The service has reached the latest milestone despite the pandemic and most of the RnD team being located in Kyiv, Ukraine.

The largest independent cloud gaming provider launched its first site with its own GPU servers in 2019 in Romania, and allowed users to play AAA video games in a browser tab. Since then the number of data centres, where the servers are hosted, has grown to 12 in Europe (2 in France, 3 in Romania, and one in the UK, Italy, Spain, Slovakia, Ukraine, Sweden, Serbia respectively) and 6 in the US across different states. Now, users can launch games not only in a browser tab but also in the desktop applications (Windows, macOS, Linux, Chrome OS), in the mobile application for Android and on the TV screen via Android TV app and devoted apps for Tizen OS (Samsung) and LG webOS.

Boosteroid previously revealed that it had passed 3 million active users at the beginning of January 2023. Two months after, the amount of subs has risen by hundreds of thousands because of the huge influx of users during February.

The subscribers’ growth is mostly organic as Boosteroid cloud gaming has chosen the tactic of not running huge-scale marketing campaigns but rather slowly acquiring the audience and increasing the amount of hardware at the same time. That’s why unlike competitors, Boosteroid has never had gaming session time limits.

Most of the recently acquired subscribers are from the US, where Boosteroid launched in spring 2022. The country has quickly occupied the first place by the number of gaming sessions with 12 341 267 of them launched via Boosetroid from the US throughout 2022. Leaders by the number of sessions are New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. More statistics will be available in the annual Boosteroid report that is to be published in March 2023.

As for the next expansion steps, Boosteroid will focus on providing its users in Europe and North America with 4K, 60-120+ frames per second quality as well as on opening new data centres. The company keeps an eye on Mexico and Brazil as one of the most promising markets and will continue expanding the list of partnerships that already today includes world’s biggest TV providers like LG and Phillips, and hardware companies like Intel and ASUS.
