Business Planning and Tax Planning Attorney Elected as Fellow of Texas Bar Foundation

Annually, just one-third of 1% of State Bar members are invited to become fellows. Once nominees are picked, they must be elected by the Foundation’s Board of Trustees.

TLC Law, PLLC is proud to announce that attorney Kacie Czapla has been elected as a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. Kacie Czapla has extensive education and work experience in business planning, tax planning, and estate planning. Fellows are nominated for exceptional professional achievements and demonstrated commitment to improving the Texas justice system.

The Texas Bar Foundation is the largest charitably funded bar foundation in the United States. It has contributed more than $29 million to projects focused on protecting justice and providing opportunities. Fellows, Life Fellows, and Sustaining Life Fellows pledge to support the Foundation in its endeavors.

TLC Law was created to focus on family law and criminal law. Kacie joined the firm to add tax planning, business planning, estate planning, and related practice areas to the firm’s offerings. These practice areas require tedious interpretation of the ever-changing federal and state governing laws, careful planning of all aspects of a transaction or controversy, and due consideration for the tax, and other general financial or business implications.

Kacie is an advocate for small business and assists taxpayers in their pursuit to pay the state and federal governments their just share, but nothing more.

“It is an honor to be invited as a fellow by my peers, but the larger honor is having the ability to make a difference in East Texas. Fellows of the State Bar Foundation direct the usage of donations, making fellows uniquely situated to aid Texas communities,” said Kacie when asked about the invitation.

In the last eleven years, she has gained invaluable experience as a tax and business planner for all types of businesses—from small, one-man practices to the large, multi-national Exxon types. It is this experience that has laid the cornerstone for TLC Law in the practice areas of tax and business planning. Kacie is also a CPA and holds a Masters in tax law (LL.M) from the University of Florida. In addition to law practice, her experience includes teaching as a professor at Stephen F Austin State University and UT Tyler.

She is on the board at her church, Pollard United Methodist Church, and has volunteered with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Clinics at Path in Tyler and Goodwill in Nacogdoches.
