As the global leader in training nurse coaches, the Integrative Nurse Coach™ Academy (INCA) has reached yet another milestone through the successful initiation of its 40th cohort of nurse coaches in the Integrative Nurse Coach™ Certificate Program. This announcement underscores INCA’s continued commitment to empowering nurses by offering new skills and opportunities for career advancement. This program enables them to become the most confident and effective leaders in an emerging healthcare paradigm that focuses on prevention and wellness.
“Seeing the personal and professional transformation our nurse coaches undergo is truly inspiring,” says a representative from INCA. These new nurse coaches will serve at the forefront of America’s healthcare reform, promoting holistic practices that enhance patient outcomes and improve the quality of care offered to individuals and communities.
The United States’ current healthcare system has proven to be inadequate in several key areas. For example, it overemphasizes allopathic medicine and pharmaceuticals while failing to improve healthcare disparities, high costs, and continuity of care. The system also stifles innovation by placing a heavy burden on healthcare workers—oftentimes causing them to leave the medical field entirely.
Nurse coaches are uniquely positioned to help overcome these systemic healthcare barriers and to promote health and wellness for both patients and nurses. They offer innovative disease prevention and management approaches that address the myriad of aspects of well-being – physical, psychological, social, spiritual, cultural, and environmental. In addition, nurse coaches inspire nurses to reignite their passion and to reconnect with their healing roots.
With this in mind, INCA has launched several new, holistic nursing specialty programs designed to further advance the nursing professional’s scope of practice. These new programs include the Functional Medicine for Nurses™, a 12-week online course with a root cause approach to health and healing. This course equips nurses with a robust knowledge of functional medicine approaches, thereby enabling them to incorporate these into their nurse coaching skillset and current nursing practice. This program is offered in partnership with the gold standard of functional medicine: the Institute for Functional Medicine.
In addition to this new program, INCA has launched specialty programs in End-of-Life Coaching, Mindfulness Meditation, the Business Nurse Coaching, and the CannyNurse® Certification Program.
Since its inception, INCA has educated over a thousand integrative nurse coaches from all 50 US states and 16 countries around the world and our graduates boast a 100% passing rate for both national board certification exams: nurse coaching and holistic nursing.
As the pandemic and healthcare challenges continue to endanger the health of our communities, nurse coaches are vital to mitigating these threats to our health by encouraging and supporting effective patient/client interventions. INCA remains the leader in advancing these efforts toward global healthcare transformation.
