Miami, Florida – October 24, 2022 – Guardians of Human Rights Foundation congress event was held on September 3rd in association with the FIU Venezuelan Students Alliance. The event had 163 attendees including Saúl Díaz, President Commissioner of the City of Sweetwater; Magdalena Briceño, representing Congresswoman María Elvira Salazar; Christopher Zegarra, who is part of Florida State Representative Juan Fernández-Barquin’s team and Connie Palomo, Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce of El Salvador.
The presenter was Kike Posada, a renowned television presenter, who did an excellent job delivering in both English and Spanish throughout the Congress.

The Board of Directors of the organization (Zarai Maza, Juan Plaja, and Edgard Simón Rodríguez) gave the initial greeting, after which the President of the FIU Venezuelan Students Alliance, Gabriel Rondon, gave a few words after which the speakers spoke about different aspects of Human Rights.

At the conclusion of the event, an important letter from U.S. Senator Rick Scott was read, where the U.S. Senator reaffirmed his commitment to the fight for Human Rights and Democracy.
