NYLA Talent Funds An Entire Clean Water Project Through ‘The Thirst Project’

World’s Leading Youth Water Activism Organization Receives Support From Aspiring Actors, Singers, Dancers, & Models

Providing access to clean water to an entire country. It may seem like an overly ambitious goal for a mere group of young people. And yet, this is exactly what the Thirst Project is determined to accomplish. For the past decade, the youth-led organization has been raising funds to finance the establishment of clean water supplies for the people of eSwatini, a small country in Africa with the single highest density of HIV/AIDS population in the world.

Driven by an urge to help, the project is getting a boost from one compassionate talent studio. US-based NYLA Talent has taken the initiative to join the cause with the support from its pool of aspiring actors, singers, dancers, and models. “A head for entertainment and a heart for giving back,” as described by company CEO, Courtney A. Stewart.

The efforts of NYLA Talent have been so substantial that it has already accomplished funding an entire project for eSwatini’s Mambane district and is now halfway to completing a second one.

While active in its charity efforts, the studio also serves as a leader in the talent development space. The company has long been a source of budding talents, connecting gifted individuals to the right opportunities worldwide. The studio works with a network of more than a hundred agents, casting directors, talent managers, and record labels who are constantly looking for people who show brilliance and passion for their craft. Many of the kids that the studio coached have landed on television shows, movies, magazines, and commercials.

“NYLA Talent is an amazing organization that gives kids and young adults life-altering skills,” said one parent. “They are giving people a chance to show their talent and become something or someone they thought would never be.”

Through their participation in the Thirst Project, The NYLA Talent team explains that they are able to make use of their platform for the benefit of those with much greater need.

“There are very few places that can offer real opportunities and training to new talents like the way we do,” said the team. “But to have access to life-saving water – that is something that the eSwatini struggle to get on a daily basis. Clean water should not be a luxury or even a commodity, the earth has given it to us as a gift, asking nothing in return. The Thirst Project is a continuation of that conditionless gift giving. Just like how water flows from one place to another through streams and rivers, we wish to be part of the the current and pass the mission to more people who want to make a difference.”

They are bonded in the state of California, accredited with the BBB with an A+ rating, and have a studio at the Hollywood Production Center in Los Angeles.
