Nina Acosta discusses how to live a stress and anxiety-free life.
Listen to the interview on the Business Innovators Radio Network:
Acosta said, “If you’re like most people, you probably feel stuck in a constant cycle of anxiety and stress. It can be hard to break out of this cycle, but it’s important to try. If you’re struggling with anxiety or stress, don’t hesitate to seek help. There are many resources available to you. With the right help, you can start to feel better and break out of the constant cycle of anxiety and stress. Society, friends, and family can pressure you to conform to their expectations and standards. But if you’re true to yourself and stay true to who you’re authentically, you will live an unapologetic life on your own terms and can start to manifest the life you truly desire. The first step to living an unapologetic life is being honest with yourself. You need to know who you are, what you want to create, and your own values and belief systems (not the ones you were conditioned to take on).”
Here are some tips that may help:
- Identify triggers. What are the things that tend to trigger anxiety or stress? Once people know what these are, they can start to avoid them or at least be better prepared for them
- Practice relaxation techniques. People can try many different relaxation techniques, such as deep breathing, tapping, or progressive muscle relaxation.
- Exercise regularly. Exercise is a great way to reduce stress and anxiety. It can also help to improve overall mood and well-being. Just make it a point to move your body in whatever way feels good.
- Get enough sleep. Sleep is essential for good mental health. If people are not getting enough sleep, it can make anxiety and stress worse.
- Eat a healthy diet. Eating a healthy diet can help to reduce stress and anxiety. People must include plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein.
- Avoid alcohol and drugs. Alcohol and drugs can make anxiety and stress worse. If someone is struggling with anxiety or stress, it’s best to avoid them altogether, but if this is in your daily routine, start small and cut back a little at a time.
- Talk to someone who understands. Sometimes it can be helpful to talk to someone who understands what people are going through. This could be a friend, family member, coach, therapist, or counselor.
- Seek help. People may need to seek professional help if anxiety or stress is severe. This could include getting a coach, therapy or medication. Do not judge. Sometimes medication is needed, until one is ready to deal with the underlying issue.
