Korea Showcases Innovative K-Startups at CES 2025 with “Connect, Solve, Discover: DIVE in K-Startup”

K-Startups to Showcase 126 Innovations at CES 2025, Including Technologies from 10 Award-Winning Companies, Highlighting Korea’s Leadership in AI, Digital Health, Smart Cities, Mobility, and Energy

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Young-joo Oh), which supports Korean ventures and startups, will operate the “K-Startup Pavilion” at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025, held in Las Vegas, USA, from January 7 to January 10 (local time).

K-Startup represents Korea’s innovative ventures, startups, as well as its ecosystem. Similar to France’s “La French Tech” and Singapore’s “Startup SG,” it aims to foster innovative companies and expand their global networks. K-Startup has consistently showcased Korea’s technological innovations on international stages, including France’s VIVA TECH, Singapore’s SWITCH, and Saudi Arabia’s BIBAN.

Through the Startup Korea policy, the Ministry actively supports the growth of domestic and international startups. Initiatives include collaboration programs with large corporations like Samsung and Hyundai, special visas for attracting foreign entrepreneurs and investors, and the Grand Challenge Program to assist foreign tech entrepreneurs in establishing themselves in Korea. These efforts have significantly bolstered Korea’s global reputation, with Seoul ranking 9th in the 2023 Global Startup Ecosystem Rankings (Startup Genome) and Korea achieving 1st place in the 2021 Bloomberg Innovation Index with a score of 90.79.

At CES 2024, Korean companies demonstrated their global competitiveness, winning 134 out of 313 Innovation Awards and securing eight Best of Innovation Awards. The momentum continues in CES 2025, with 181 Korean companies recognized with Innovation Awards as of December 2024.

This year, the Ministry, together with the Korea Institute of Startup and Entrepreneurship Development (KISED), will present the K-Startup Pavilion in the Eureka Park startup exhibition hall. Marking the largest pavilion yet, it will feature 126 innovative startups in collaboration with 30 startup support organizations, including POSCO. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet 10 Innovation Award winners, including recipieints of the prestigious Best of Innovation Awards.

The pavilion will span multiple booths — 62645, 62653, 62833, 62845, 63432, and 63633 — offering a variety of programs such as K-Startup Night, IR Pitching, and business matching to connect startups with global investors and buyers.

IR Pitching sessions will take place daily from January 7th to 9th at 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM on the main stage within the K-Startup Pavilion. In addition to showcasing Korean startups, the Ministry will operate a dedicated booth providing information on Korea’s inbound support programs, including special visas for foreign entrepreneurs, to actively promote the entry of global startups into Korea.
