About the Author
Radu Guiasu grew up in Romania before immigrating to Canada at eighteen. With four university degrees, including a Ph.D. in zoology from the University of Toronto, he is a tenured professor specializing in ecology and conservation biology. In addition to his academic accolades, Guiasu has authored peer-reviewed scientific articles, two academic books, and a novel, The Faraway Mountains, which reflects on his childhood under a communist dictatorship.
