Abu Dhabi, UAE – The Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) achieved outstanding recognition at the HBC 2024 International Awards held on November 9 in Riyadh. The ceremony celebrated international excellence and drew distinguished guests, including H.E. - Smart Application Gold Award: Engineering Professionals Licensing System (EPLS) Application – DMT was recognized for its groundbreaking Engineering Professionals Licensing System (EPLS), which streamlines the licensing process for engineers practicing in Abu Dhabi. By integrating advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and business intelligence dashboards, the EPLS application has achieved a customer satisfaction rate of 95% and SLA compliance of 99.6%. Key features include automatic application distribution, real-time eligibility checks, and seamless integration with key government entities. This innovation exemplifies DMT’s commitment to fostering efficiency and regulatory compliance in Abu Dhabi’s construction and engineering sectors.
Event Highlights:
The HBC 2024 Awards recognized 60 winners across 28 categories, representing over 5,000 assessment hours and 3,741 applications. With the global launch of the Intelligent Sustainable Excellence (ISE) Model and the introduction of the HBC Quality of Life Award, the event underscored a commitment to advancing standards that enhance societal well-being.
