Texas Nonprofit Addresses Business Education Gaps with Free Courses and Training

Texas nonprofit BBPF offers free online courses and training to empower underserved communities in business education.

Border Business Prosperity Foundation (BBPF), a newly launched nonprofit based in Texas, is on a mission to transform business education for underserved communities. Founded by Ibrahim Garza, award-winning analytics expert, BBPF seeks to fill critical gaps in business education by offering accessible, practical resources at no cost. Through online courses and hands-on training, BBPF aims to empower individuals, entrepreneurs, and small business owners with the skills needed to succeed in today’s economic landscape.

BBPF was established to address the longstanding barriers to business education that exist for many in Texas communities and beyond. As the founder and Chairman, Ibrahim Garza brings a wealth of experience and a track record of community service. His distinguished work in financial literacy, particularly focused on elevating underserved communities, earned him national recognition with the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Under Garza’s leadership, BBPF combines real-world expertise with a commitment to fostering economic opportunity.

As part of its inaugural lineup, BBPF has launched BUS101, a free, comprehensive online course designed to introduce essential business concepts and strategies. BUS101 is structured to be accessible for individuals with little to no prior business knowledge, covering topics such as budgeting, business formation, access to capital, and operations. The curriculum, developed by experts with deep experience in business and education, provides participants with a foundational understanding of how to start and manage a successful business. The course includes hands-on learning opportunities, practical exercises, and is fully online, enabling flexible access for participants anywhere.

In addition to its online offerings, BBPF plans to host in-person workshops and training sessions throughout the year. These sessions will provide participants with the opportunity to engage directly with experienced professionals, receive mentorship, and work through real-world case studies. By combining the flexibility of online learning with the personal engagement of in-person training, BBPF ensures that its educational offerings are both accessible and impactful.

“We believe that everyone deserves access to high-quality business education, regardless of their background or resources,” said Ibrahim Garza, Founder of BBPF. “Our goal is to equip individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to pursue entrepreneurship, achieve financial stability, and contribute positively to their communities.”
