Jaipur, India – November 18, 2024 – The renowned Amrapali Museum of Jaipur, in collaboration with the Corporate Diwali Diversity Group (TCD), hosted the highly anticipated Diwali Mayoral Lights Awards ceremony at the museum on Saturday evening. The event began with the traditional lighting of lamps, a gesture symbolizing unity and prosperity, led by distinguished guests and delegates from the USA.

The highlight of the evening was the recognition of Rajiv Arora, founder of the Amrapali Museum, for his outstanding contribution to promoting Indian craftsmanship and culture. Receiving the award from Manisha Mundhra Beriwala, the Founder and President of TCD, Arora expressed heartfelt gratitude: “I am truly humbled and overwhelmed to receive this honor today. It fills me with immense pride and gratitude, not just for myself, but for everyone at Amrapali. Our jewelry and museum are the result of the dedication, hard work, and passion of my colleagues and team members. We remain steadfast in our commitment to celebrate and promote the beauty of Indian craftsmanship and tradition, keeping our heritage alive.”

As Founder of TCD, Manisha Mundhra Beriwala highlighted TCD’s mission as a leading global organization dedicated to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). She announced the selection of Mr. Rajiv Arora for the prestigious Diwali Mayoral Light Award, recognizing his enduring contributions to arts, culture, and DEI through his organization. His legacy continues through his son, Tarang Arora.

“Corporate Diwali is committed to fostering an inclusive community rooted in relationships, culture, and celebration,” said Manisha. “Our programs emphasize the harmony of mind, body, and spirit while nurturing sisterhood and networking. Through the ‘Diwali Mayoral Light Awards,’ we honor community leaders, small businesses, and change-makers from diverse backgrounds for their exceptional contributions to community service.”

The event, attended by esteemed guests including Professor Daulet Singh Rajawat from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, said, “This was a proud moment for both Jaipur and Rajasthan. It highlighted the city’s cultural and artistic significance on an international stage.”

Trustee and Publisher of TCD Magazine, Kelli Vincent Rodriguez, emphasized the importance of diversity, saying, “At TCD, we celebrate the diversity and strength of the world. The distinct identity of each individual contributes to a prosperous community. When people from different religious beliefs, socio-economic statuses, languages, and geographical backgrounds share their experiences, they empower society as a whole. This diversity is essential in empowering women.”

Welcoming attendees, Tarang Arora, co-founder of Amrapali Museum, expressed his admiration for his father’s legacy: “I am elated to represent Amrapali Jewels at this ceremony today. This event is a testament to my father’s passion and dedication. By reviving ancient enameling techniques and ensuring they find a place in contemporary fashion, he has helped people carry not just jewelry, but stories and heritage.”

The event also recognized Krysta Laukien for her significant efforts in supporting women and children affected by the war in Ukraine, showcasing her dedication to humanitarian causes and global solidarity. The evening featured a mesmerizing musical performance by Tanya Melamed, a renowned multilingual singer and pianist from the United States, adding a touch of elegance to the occasion.
