“Life has a way of testing us, and it’s what we do with our second chances that defines us,” Dustin shared. “After my release, I wanted to rebuild my life on principles of faith and resilience. Three Wooden Crosses represents my gratitude to the community that helped me find my way through God’s grace.”
A pivotal influence on Dustin’s journey was Betty Barlow, an 89-year-old woman he met in 2022, who became a mother figure and guiding light. “Betty taught me so much, and she never gave up on me, even when others did,” Dustin explained. “She told me that God sent her to help me, and though I resisted her help many times, I finally surrendered and laid it all at the cross. While Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, deserves all the credit, Betty has my thanks and love for her unwavering support.”
Dustin recalled the adventures and bond they shared, including mountain climbs and 4×4 off-roading. “At 89 years old, Betty would go with me on 4×4 rides, and one day we were even pulled over by the game wardens,” Dustin shared. “She prayed for the officer right there, and he accepted Christ. Betty’s faith was unshakable.” Her influence was so profound that Dustin witnessed miracles in his own life, including his mother’s recovery from stage-four cancer. “Betty brought me lunch every single day, caring for me like the mother I never had.”
In addition to Betty, Dustin is grateful to a close-knit group of friends and community members who stood by him. These include Noble Foundation Group, Chaz and Doug Freutel, Rob Kopp, Paul and Amy Hoy, Nathan Hoy, and Cayden Wilson. “Thank you for not giving up on me and for showing me what it means to be a kingdom entrepreneur. To Miss Betty and everyone in my community, I love you all. You have prayed, and God has answered,” Dustin said.

Dustin’s family has been a constant source of support. His wife, Cheryl Pierce; his mother, Patricia Pierce; his sister, Stacey Scott; and his son, Dylan Pierce, have each played crucial roles. “To my family, thank you for standing by me every step of the way,” Dustin expressed.
