The Global Book Awards announces “Cold Comfort” by Trevor Douglas as overall winner its international book award contest.

The Global Book Awards Contest features thousands of contestants each year from the whole world, ranging from new self-published authors to traditionally published authors.

The Global Book Awards is celebrating its fifth year, with submissions received from self-published authors, small publishers, and authors publishing under giants such as HarperCollins and Simon & Schuster.

Unlike most book award sites that depend on the views of a small panel of judges, The Global Book Awards believes that in this modern age of publishing, books need to be appraised not only by their content and writing style, but also by the way they present and market themselves to the prospective buyer. Whether that is in its creative book cover design, its captivating book description, its strong ratings on important bookstores like Amazon, or even the number of reviews it has collected from its readers – they all count on how a book should be judged.

Each year, thousands of new entries from all over the world are received. The advantage of receiving such a wide range of books is that we break them down into 100+ categories, ensuring that books only compete against books in the same genre for a fairer and more accurate comparison.

This year’s winner among the selection of both self-published and traditionally published authors is Trevor Douglas for his novel Cold Comfort, which garnered thousands of reviews from its readers on Amazon, and impressed on all grounds, from the author’s writing style and plot, to the book cover design.

We congratulations all the category winners for taking part. More information on the winners and finalists can be found on the Global Book Award website www.globalbookawards.com
