Seoul Fintech Lab and 2nd Seoul Fintech Lab Successfully Participate in Korea Fintech Week 2024

Seoul Fintech Lab and 2nd Seoul Fintech Lab achieved great success by showcasing innovative solutions from 22 resident companies, attracting approximately 1,000 visitors to their booth during Korea Fintech Week 2024.

Seoul Fintech Lab and the 2nd Seoul Fintech Lab jointly participated in the ‘Korea Fintech Week 2024,’ held at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul, South Korea, from August 27 to 29. The event was a huge success, with approximately 1,000 visitors attending their joint booth.

At the event, Seoul Fintech Lab showcased innovative fintech solutions from 22 of its resident companies, gaining significant attention from both domestic and international attendees. Organized by the Financial Services Commission and hosted by the Korea Fintech Support Center, the ‘Korea Fintech Week 2024’ was held under the theme “Fintech and AI Redefining Finance.” The event featured participation from fintech-related companies across 107 countries, with 82 booths in operation.

Seoul Fintech Lab and the 2nd Seoul Fintech Lab jointly operated a booth with resident companies such as BISONAI, FinInsight, IP Shop, and Molyton, as well as 2nd Seoul Fintech Lab companies including EcoCOW, OnLineAI, Collab Technology, and Fractal F&E. These companies offered hands-on experiences of their services, directly interacting with financial professionals and visitors. Additionally, the booth hosted various events, providing souvenirs to visitors and creating follow-up business opportunities.

Moreover, 18 resident and graduate companies from Seoul Fintech Lab participated in the K-Fintech 30 and independent fintech sections, presenting their innovative solutions to domestic and international investors. Companies such as Fusi Partners, Stock Keeper, Quota Lab, Softlanders, Funble, Winning I, Green Ribbon, WellsGuide, Crazy Alpaca, Mopyn, Money Station, Aizen Global, Quantum AI, FintooB, Aikooka, Moin, Lucent Block, and Small Ticket were among the participants.

A Seoul Fintech Lab representative stated, “This year’s Korea Fintech Week provided a valuable opportunity to share the latest technological trends and development directions while fostering networking between startups and investors. We will continue to develop various support programs to further revitalize the fintech ecosystem.”

Seoul Fintech Lab, established by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, is South Korea’s largest fintech startup incubation facility. As of Q1 2024, it houses 100 fintech startups and about 1,800 entrepreneurs, providing them with support for workspace, overseas expansion, investment attraction, and tailored mentoring. In 2023, the lab recorded a total revenue of KRW 118.8 billion, attracted investments totaling KRW 106.6 billion, and created 709 new jobs.
