Chad Currin, known as Mr. Twisty, brings over 45 years of family entertainment experience to this show. “I’ve done a lot of cool things over the years,” says Mr. Twisty, “but Storytime Adventures is one of the most exciting. It’s a magical way to share laughs, involve families, and foster a love of reading—all while having tons of fun.”
Aimed at children aged 4-8, the show appeals to everyone in the family. “There are lots of preschool shows out there, so I wanted to focus on kids who are just getting into reading more independently. But I’ve heard from parents, grandparents, and even older siblings who enjoy the show’s humor, too,” Mr. Twisty explains.
Each week, Mr. Twisty reads a children’s picture book, combining his trademark humor with educational insights and balloon artistry. Since launching six months ago, the show has attracted over 30,000 subscribers and thousands of families tune in every Friday. “The audience is so engaged and excited—it’s not just a show, it’s a community,” he says.
Mr. Twisty’s Storytime Adventures also features guest appearances from fan favorites like Auntie Twirlie, who brings her own whimsical energy to the show. And with the holidays fast approaching, Santa Claus himself is set to appear in upcoming episodes, adding plenty of Christmas cheer and magic. “Santa’s been practicing his ho-ho-ho’s for weeks,” Mr. Twisty teases. “It’s going to be full of surprises!”
In the new year, Mr. Twisty has even bigger surprises planned, with live adventures and more fun on the horizon. “We’re always thinking of new ways to bring joy, creativity, and a little magic to people’s lives,” he adds.
One of the core missions of the show is to inspire a love of reading. Mr. Twisty not only shares popular picture books but also highlights independent authors. “There are so many talented writers out there who deserve more recognition. I want to help introduce their work to kids everywhere.”
