This will be his fourth show with Liverpool Fashion Week, citing the event as the place that launched his fashion design career back in 2018. Richard, a double transplant organ survivor, turned to art as his therapy for recovering from his treatment, used leather and vegan substitute materials to create stunning, bespoke, wearable designs.
His work has been commissioned by AllSaints’ Natalie Appleton, Eddie Kid, television presenter Mick Scarlet and The Prodigy’s Liam Howlett. Joining him on the catwalk is Saville Row tailor, Patrick Joseph London, also returning for the second time, together with Laura Tailor, Afris Wish, Ema’z Artistry, Sunsibility, Dionne Da Costa, Amaya for Africa and Cheshire and Merseyside Hospice Collaborative showcasing preloved fashion from their fundraising shops.
Liverpool Fashion Week is supported by Matthew George Walsh, producer of the movie currently in production in Liverpool, Semolina Pilchard who is championing ‘90s fashion. GreengentCo will be providing a touch of luxury with their organic men’s skincare and grooming products which also launched this year.
Liverpool Fashion Week will also be using models over 35, citing older women as more beautiful and confident on the catwalk. Alongside the catwalk shows will be a room full of lifestyle, fashion and beauty exhibitors so you can shop until you drop.
