C.H. Hanson, in partnership with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation®, has outfitted its popular Magnetic Stud Finder™ in pink – replacing the company’s characteristic yellow – to bring attention to Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. For every sale of the special pink stud finder, C.H. Hanson will donate a portion of the proceeds directly to breast cancer research.
“Can a magnetic stud finder change a person’s life? We at C.H. Hanson definitely believe so,” said C.H. Hanson Greg Guess, marketing manager. “We are honored to help support essential research and to “go pink” in the fight against this terrible disease. With more than one million sold, our Magnetic Stud Finder is one of our most sought-after tools. Its popularity among carpenters, plumbers and DIY-ers make it the ideal choice for ‘going pink’ and raising funds for breast cancer research.”
Every October is dedicated to raising awareness about breast cancer, promoting early detection and supporting those affected by the disease. It is the most common cancer diagnosed in women. And, although it primarily affects women, men can also develop the disease.
According to the American Cancer Society, about 310,720 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in women this year. Nearly 42,250 women will die from breast cancer. It accounts for about 30 percent (or 1 in 3) of all new female cancers each year.
The Breast Cancer Awareness Month “pink” Magnetic Stud Finder is available on C.H. Hanson’s website at www.chhanson.com and also from major home centers, local hardware stores and major online sites.
The C.H. Hanson Magnetic Stud Finder is compact enough to tuck away in a pocket and requires no batteries, no calibration or lights. This small, but powerful tool includes a rotating level for rough vertical and horizontal marking and uses powerful rare earth magnets to locate metal and wood studs in walls. Its hands-free and is easy to use by simply sliding the flat surface of the magnetic stud finder slowly over a wall in a circular or ‘S’ motion until there is a strong pull to a nail head or screw. Once the stud finder is directly above a nail head or screw, just let go and it sticks to the wall.
