Ideagen Global Impact Summit 2024: Uniting Global Leaders for Transformative Change

Ideagen Global, in collaboration with ACS Athens and ALLILONnet, proudly hosted the 2024 Global Impact Summit in Athens, Greece. This prestigious event brought together an extraordinary group of global leaders, thought leaders, and emerging voices, all committed to addressing the world’s most pressing challenges through collaboration and innovation. The summit served as a vital platform for fostering dialogue and generating actionable solutions in alignment with the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

A Gathering of Distinguished Leaders

The summit featured a stellar lineup of speakers who brought their unique insights and expertise to the forefront. George Sifakis, Founder of Ideagen Global, led the discussions throughout the day, emphasizing the power of collaboration in tackling global issues. Dr. Peggy Pelonis, President of ACS Athens, and Amb. Angelos Pangratis of ALLILON, contributed significantly to the event’s direction, highlighting the importance of global cooperation and education.

The Ideagen Global Panel featured influential voices such as Elena Saviolakis from AHEPA/Daughters of Penelope, Panagiotis Zikos of Otis, Ioanna Noula, PhD, Tim Ananiadis  of HCI, and Antonis Menegas of the Libra Group. Maria Loi, celebrated author and celebrity chef, also added her unique perspective on the role of cultural heritage in sustainable development. This panel was expertly moderated by George Sifakis.

The summit also celebrated the voices of future leaders, with contributions from George Sifakis II (Gonzaga College High School), Naol Hailemichael (Washington, DC), Sela Dunn (Georgetown Visitation), Eva Sifakis (Georgetown Visitation), and Abbad Abdulajawad (Saudi MUNA). Their session was moderated by Alexa Sifakis (University of Tampa) and co-moderated by Lydia Pinirou (Royal Holloway University, UK), highlighting the next generation’s commitment to global leadership.

Chetna Singh of SAP shared transformative ideas on the future of technology and its role in sustainable development during a focused Powertalk, moderated by George Sifakis. Alexandra Mitsotakis of the World Human Forum brought a powerful perspective on human rights and global responsibilities, also moderated by George Sifakis.

The summit addressed critical issues such as inclusive education and accessibility, with insights from Maria Olson, Deputy Chief of Mission at the US Embassy in Greece, in a session moderated by Peggy Pelonis. Dimitris Avramopoulos, Former EU Commissioner, offered a comprehensive analysis of transatlantic relations and emerging geopolitical challenges, moderated by Alexandros Costopoulos. 

A significant announcement from the Global Sustainability Initiative (GSI) featured George Sifakis, Shannon Dunn of Delos Arabia, and Dr. Mohammed Al-Surf of the Tilad Group and Sustainability Professionals of Saudi Arabia (SPSA), moderated by Yanna Darilis. The GSI Panel included expert insights from Dr. Mohammed Al-Surf, Abdullah Edini, Ibrahim Junaid, Abbad Abduljawad (all from Saudi MUNA), and was moderated by Shannon Dunn.

Education’s role in sustainable development was further explored by Peggy Pelonis of ACS Athens, Nick Katsoris of The Loukoumi Make A Difference Foundation, Aigly Zafeirakou of The World Bank Group, Theodore Vagias of the LEO Foundation, and Litsa Panayotopoulos of AMCHAM/E.VI.A., with Yanna Darilis moderating the discussion. 

The summit concluded with an ALLILONnet Programming session, moderated by Angelos Pangratis, and featuring contributions from Spyros Kiartzis, Manager of New Technologies and Alternative Energy Sources at HELLENiQ ENERGY Holdings S.A., Konstantin O. Papailiou, Honorary Professor at the Technical University of Dresden, Leontios Portokalakis, Surveyor Engineer and Board Member of the Hellenic Institute for Strategic Studies, Baltzois Ioannis, Lieutenant General (Ret.) and President of the Hellenic Institute of Strategic Studies (HELISS-ELISME), and Lygeros Nikolaos, Strategy Advisor.
