On August 14-16, 2024, the 8th National Forum on the Resource Utilization of Construction Waste was successfully concluded in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province. This conference is hosted by Industrial Solid Waste Network, Hebei Institute of Building Science and Technology Co., Ltd., School of Gemstones and Materials of Hebei University of Geosciences, Hebei Sand and Stone Association, and Hebei Civil Engineering and Architecture Society, and co organized by Fujian Quangong Co., Ltd. and other enterprises.
This meeting discussed prominent policies and environmental issues in China’s construction waste field, such as inadequate supervision, lagging disposal capacity, and frequent illegal and irregular disposal of construction waste, as well as industry problems such as difficulty in source management, environmental compliance, enterprise development, and product application. It also discussed prominent practical issues such as the differentiation of construction waste between the north and south. Together, we will deepen the pilot demonstration of construction waste management, promote the application of advanced and applicable technology and equipment for construction waste, establish industry standards for the resource utilization of construction waste, effectively solve environmental and resource utilization problems of construction waste, and provide high-quality support for the construction of a “waste free city”.
