From the back cover:

The concept of this book is meant for Leaders in Healthcare, but it can help leaders in other industries. The goal of this book is to teach healthcare leaders the necessity of focusing on the big picture in order to create strategies and have extremely good outcomes. Many healthcare leaders get caught up in the noise of regulations, patients, complaints, labor issues, etc. They lose focus on the fundamental need to prioritize the necessary and reach organizational goals. Leaders need to focus on the macro fundamentals in order to impact the micro processes, not the other way around. Based on 15 years of experience as a healthcare executive and Regional Vice President, I have developed 6 core focus items that are a must to win in this industry. Each category will have what needs to be focused on with metric recommendations. I call these 6 Essential Pulses. Each leader needs to have a pulse on each of these sections and master them well to be successful.
