The event has expanded to over 500 cities across numerous countries, making it one of the largest and most influential extracurricular activities globally. Through years of effort, Chinese students now rank among the top in international mathematics competitions, frequently winning gold medals. She emphasized that the purpose of mathematics competitions is to broaden horizons and challenge students to surpass their current environments. The students’ journey in mathematics has only just begun, and today’s experiences will serve as a foundation for their future success.

Dr. Kou Seng Man expressed his gratitude for the support and participation of everyone involved, extending thanks to the relevant educational departments in Macau, the organizers, co-organizers, as well as the teachers and students who participated in the International Hope Cup Mathematics Invitational Global Peak Challenge. He noted that the successful hosting of this competition was made possible through the collective efforts of all parties. Dr. Kou also mentioned that the Macau SAR Government is currently implementing the “1+4” moderately diversified development strategy. Similarly, Lao Chon Hang from Pui Ching Middle School, who also won a gold medal, shared that this was his first time participating in the Hope Cup. He was thrilled and happy to have represented Macau, winning an individual gold medal and securing third place in the team category for the junior high school division. He found the competition’s problems challenging, and the speed competition truly showcased the spirit of teamwork. He expressed gratitude to the organizers for hosting such international mathematics competitions, which not only expand one’s vision but also provide opportunities to meet and exchange ideas with students from various countries, forming lasting friendships.
