LA HABRA, Calif. – May 31, 2024 – Harbinger Horizon today announced that it is sponsoring the upcoming Badges, Blues and BBQ fundraiser, which the La Habra Lions Club will host on June 8, 2024, from 4 pm to 7 pm, at the La Habra Church of Christ, 1621 W. Lambert Rd. La Habra, CA 90631, to support the La Habra Police Explorers Post 850.
Enjoy delicious barbeque while listening to the great blues band, The Bail Jumpers, to help raise money for this important organization that works to keep young people off the streets, and instead teaches them responsibility, with the hope that these children decide to be community leaders and good citizens.
Harbinger Horizon supports and recognizes the importance of community infrastructure, especially the needs of municipal agencies, which serve the people of La Habra and deserve support, gratitude, and respect.
Del Lampkin is the founder and CEO of Harbinger Horizon, located in La Habra, California. His company is contributing to the growth of professional businesses in the City of La Habra, as well as supporting the police department, to assure that vital equipment, services, and quality of life are available for residents and those who serve the city.
He is a former Los Angeles County Sheriff Explorer himself, which in part led him to become a Deputy Sheriff for one of the largest law enforcement agencies in the nation. Mr. Lampkin is asking all local and surrounding area residents to attend the Badges, Blues and BBQ event and raise funds for the La Habra Police Department Explorer Program.
“The Law Enforcement Explorer Program can be transformative to young people,” said Lampkin. “Joining this youth leadership program inspired me to choose a career in law enforcement. I had grown up in a high crime area of Los Angeles with a hard-working single mother taking care three children. However, I also needed positive male role models, who could help me shape my own path and inspire me to mentor young people.”
He continued, “Today I am honored and feel fortunate to sponsor an event and give back to an organization that helped me.”
Pre-sale tickets are $25 and will be $30 at the door. The entry fee provides a delicious barbecue meal from our friends at Ruby Red’s BBQ, entertainment, and two raffle tickets.
