Technology for using amino acid water-soluble fertilizer for leafy vegetables

1. Concept of amino acid water-soluble fertilizer Amino acid water-soluble fertilizer refers to a liquid or solid water-soluble fertilizer made with free amino acids as the main body, adding an appropriate amount of calcium and magnesium medium elements or trace elements of copper, iron, manganese, zinc, boron and molybdenum in a proportion suitable for plant growth fertilizer. It has the characteristics of good water solubility, strong permeability, high fertilizer efficiency, economical, convenient and safe application. It can increase the germination rate of crop seeds, improve crop quality, and improve resistance to adverse external environments.

2. Application of amino acid water-soluble fertilizer to leafy vegetables

(1) Application method Amino acid fertilizers are mainly applied as foliar fertilizers and can also be used for seed soaking, seed dressing and seedling root dipping. Seed soaking is generally soaked in diluent for 6 to 8 hours, fished out and dried before sowing; seed dressing is to spray the diluent evenly on the surface of the seeds and leave it for 6 hours before sowing. For specific products, strictly follow the product instructions. Large-scale planting farms, or areas with water shortages, as well as high-quality and high-value-added cash crop plantations, can also use drip irrigation, sprinkler irrigation and soilless cultivation methods for planting. When watering and fertilizing, the amino acid water-soluble fertilizer is dissolved in the water, which not only replenishes crop moisture but also provides nutrients necessary for crop growth, truly achieving “water and fertilizer integration”, saving water, fertilizer, and labor.

(2) Application amount Use 50g of amino acid-containing water-soluble fertilizer mixed with 40kg of water (diluted 800 times) for foliar spraying, spraying about 2 to 3 times throughout the growth period.

3. Precautions for foliar spraying of water-soluble fertilizers containing amino acids The timing of foliar spraying of water-soluble fertilizers containing amino acids should be based on leaf structure, stomata distribution and opening and closing time. It is generally chosen to be carried out during the day when a large number of pores are open, and the amino acid foliar fertilizer is evenly sprayed on the leaves in the form of mist. When using amino acid-containing water-soluble fertilizers with pesticides, chemical fertilizers, etc., issues such as pH and high-priced metal ions must be considered to avoid problems such as flocculation and sedimentation that may affect product quality or cause spray system failure. A mixing test should be done before use, and try to make it ready for use without leaving any liquid behind. When formulating, consider the interaction between nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and other nutrients, as well as the crop’s fertilizer requirements and application period.
