United States Army veteran, author, inventor, and entrepreneur Dexter V. Kennedy boxed for the U.S. Army in 1980, earning the V Corps Flyweight boxing title, before earning his black belt and then going on to open his first karate school in 1986. He has trained with some of the best, including Martial Arts National Champion Mike Genova and Black Belt Hall of Fame member Keith Vitali. In May 2022, Kennedy earned his 5th Degree Black Belt, and in July of the same year, Kennedy was inducted into the National Martial Arts Hall of Fame. He is the author of several books designed to provide a framework for martial arts entrepreneurs and is the founder of The National Martial Arts League, a martial arts franchise company.
In January 2023, Kennedy released ‘Taking On the NFL with Pro Teams KumiteSport: Martial Arts Making People Better for Life’ in hardback and paperback formats. The book quickly soared to #1 best seller on Amazon. Now, celebrating the first anniversary of this book’s launch, Kennedy has released his latest book in audiobook format on platforms including iTunes and Amazon.
