Robert D. Grappel’s poetic journey began in 1967 during his freshman year at the University of Michigan, influenced by his professor, Donald Hall, the author of over 50 books.
Holding graduate degrees in Physics and Computer Science, Robert D. Grappel’s diverse interests led him to become a self-taught folk singer, releasing two CDs with his wife. His “day job” involves designing radars and communications systems for air traffic control, combining his scientific background with a lifelong fascination for aviation.
