Event Details:

Date: Thursday, October 19th

Time: 8:30 AM CST | 7:00 PM IST

Venue: i-invent.org

The previous event held on September 22nd was a testament to the passion and dedication of students, leaders, and individuals who are committed to making a difference. The September event featured a broad spectrum of inspirational stories, including a CEO’s commitment to philanthropy, an intern’s endeavor to bring music to underprivileged children, an artist and author’s remarkable journey, a student’s fundraising efforts, and the accomplishments of a child protection unit.

A heartfelt highlight of the September event was the beautiful performance by Satavva from the Children Home for Girls, who shared a moving Kannada song, “Oh nonda jeevave ninnomme yochisu.” The song’s message, delivered in the local language of Karnataka, India, reminded us of the importance of facing life’s challenges with courage and determination, using failures as stepping stones to success.

Mr. Rajiv De Silva, CEO of Venus Concept and Chairman of Covis Pharma, shared his life journey, highlighting his struggles and the role of philanthropy in his education. He emphasized the importance of supporting international students, having been a beneficiary of such generosity himself. Mr. De Silva’s commitment to education and philanthropy is evident in his efforts to establish a family education fund, which continues to transform lives.

Aishath Lana Shahlam, a 7th-grade student from the Maldives, shared her passion for painting and her dream of becoming a marine biologist. She highlighted the urgent need to protect our oceans and marine life, having witnessed the environmental challenges they face. The iINVENT Internship program has played a crucial role in empowering her to pursue her dream.

The September event also showcased young talents, including Rishini, Kamari Neeta Wadkar, and Sanjay De Silva, who have devoted their energy and talents to philanthropic endeavors that impact their communities.

The October Brainstorm event is a continuation of iINVENT’s commitment to inspire innovation, education, and community engagement. We invite you to join us for this enriching experience that promises to inspire, educate, and encourage change.
