The Cheikh Mboup Scholarship for Single Mothers will provide a $1,000 one-time award to a deserving single mother currently enrolled or planning to enroll in college or vocational school in the United States.
The scholarship was founded by respected businessman and academic Cheikh Mboup. Originally from Senegal, West Africa, Cheikh has dedicated his career to education, social responsibility and empowering others. After earning multiple degrees, including an MBA and doctorate in economics and international business, Cheikh worked his way up in the grocery and private equity fields. Essays will be evaluated based on the quality of writing and compelling explanation of how the scholarship will empower the applicant to succeed despite current challenges.
The deadline to apply is November 15, 2023. The winner will be announced December 15, 2023 and awarded the $1,000 scholarship.
