Due to galactic wars, much of humanity’s early history is unknown. But an archeological discovery 3000 years in the future finds data artifacts that describe humanity’s exodus to the stars. Ironically, a first contact by email provides the means to begin the diaspora.

About the Book

Three thousand years in the future the Research Director at the Orion Archaeological Institute releases an announcement:

“Recently, our archeological efforts found two sets of ancient data artifacts. They are over 3000 galactic units old and were discovered in ruins on a small satellite orbiting a red planet 54 light years away. One set, by an alien anthropologist, describes the early civilization of our forbearers’ star system. The other set describes the development of our first interstellar ships. Today we are releasing the initial images, translations and recordings from this discovery.”

About the Author

Richard is an IT Professional with a broad range of old and new media skills. His career began in the fine arts. When personal computers arrived, the screen became his canvas with developing multimedia and 3D projects for a living. When the internet began, his artistic and programming skills were a good fit for online projects as a team member, helping the development of complex websites. A thread for this book began when animating an early sci-fi website, but was put aside by other needs.

This eBook began during the COVID lockdown. Each page, illustrated in 3D and depending on its complexity, took a week or two to create, and a custom iPad application was built by him for image placement, text bubbles, custom drawing, corrections and hi-resolution book layout.
