Quasi Robotics Launches R2 Robots Powered by Quasi AI
Quasi Robotics unveils its latest innovation, the R2 Robot, powered by Quasi AI, offering unprecedeted ease of control and complete traceability

Maryland, USA – Quasi Robotics has recently introduced its new series of R2 robots, powered by their proprietary set of universal algorithms, Quasi AI. This system “brain” provides cutting-edge abilities to R2, while simultaneously recording each and every action to provide full traceability for the robot’s decisions. The hardware and software combine under tablet-based Cloud Connect™ allowing easy user-to-robot communication. The user hub gives users an intuitive, coding-free platform for assigning tasks to R2, viewing displays of all collected metrics and data points, and exporting an extensive audit an extensive audit log of all robot interactions.

Quasi AI gives R2 the ability to understand user voice commands, autonomously navigate workspace configurations, account for unexpected obstacles and path variation, and reliably identify the objects and actions needed to complete user-assigned tasks. The algorithms’ adaptive nature allow the robot to learn from its environment and perform even better over time. And because the Quasi AI stack is hardware-agnostic, it can be loaded onto any robotic system with the appropriate hardware requirements to increase performance.

The vision of Quasi Robotics is to revolutionize the world of AI by creating the perfect set of algorithms capable of powering any robot,” said Vlad Lebedev, the CEO of Quasi Robotics. “With Quasi AI, the company aims to simplify robot management, allowing users to assign tasks with just a few clicks to a visually-pleasing interface. Our company knows the true efficiency that AI bring to many industries – one which has remained untapped by competitors in the market. We are incredibly excited for what the future holds for Quasi AI and its potential to transform the world of robotic automation.

The technical specifications of R2’s hardware point towards several unique features, including a twin LiDAR system for navigation, 3D stereo camera for vision, and all-wheel drive capacity with omnidirectional steering provided by mechanum wheel design. Its robotic arm has a 6 ft reach, and can lift up to 6 lbs. It functions with 8 degrees of freedom to control the fully customizable end-of-tooling attachments, making it suitable for manipulating various items. Another significant feature is 8 hours of battery-powered operation, at the end of which, R2 will automatically  locate its closest charging station and enable fast-charge mode, yielding up to a 50% charge in around 60 minutes.

Quasi engineers recognized that any significant advancements are only as good as the user’s ability to control them. For this purpose, they designed the table-based Cloud Connect user interface. Functioning as the center hub of all user interaction, Cloud Connect allows users to assign tasks, track and display graphical data, review R2-created environment maps, and communicate  with all other robots in the fleet, all with no programming knwoledge required. More importantly, the system records every single action taken by the robot and presents it in an exportable audit log, making it easy to trace and analyze any discrepencies.
