May 23, 2023 – What if you could say all the things you wanted to those you love before your time on Earth ran out? Author Michelle Wilson answers this question in her new book by Capucia Publishing, So I Can Love You Longer – A Mother’s Message to Her Daughter.
When a marker for ovarian cancer showed up in a medical test, the same disease that stole away her grandmother’s life, it was a wake-up call for Michelle Wilson. In addition to making some major changes in her life, Wilson set out to capture all the things she wanted to say and share with her young daughter before it was too late to do so.
So I Can Love You Longer is part love letter, part guidebook drawn from the author’s own experiences and reflections on Life. Readers will be drawn in by the unconventional true story while discovering ways to communicate big topics to elementary-age children and be inspired to write their own legacy letters to family and friends.
“I realized that If I only had twenty-five years left to live, I wouldn’t continue down the path I was on,” explains Wilson. “In addition to making major life changes, I set out to preserve the lessons and stories I wanted to share with my young daughter, capturing those big ideas, lessons learned, and tender words that my daughter could read time and again, even when I was not physically able to be with her.”
“This book is a way to love my daughter long after I’m gone,” she continues. “I hope it inspires others to leave their legacy and to have those conversations now that you’d regret never having as tomorrow is never guaranteed.”
