London’s Favourite Ebike Brand ‘Cooler King’ Lands In Florida

The British Electric Bicycle Company Is Making Waves From Across The Pond

Cooler King, the London based electric bike brand has launched with three partner stores in Florida this month, following it’s appointment of nine stores in California at the end of 2022.

Success in the US is mainly being led by its smaller Cooler Kub ebike, a twin battery two seater with classic motorcycle looks and a range of up to 80 miles between charges. The Cooler Kub was Cooler King’s first blank page design and is consciously aimed at an adult market, whereas competitor ebikes of a similar size are more teen focused.

Cooler King founder Paul Myers said, “We designed this from the outset to carry two adults safely, and comfortably. This is not another bike for one person, with a slightly longer seat. This is a full size ebike for two.”

Along with the European engineering know how comes a distinct British style and the latest global tech with components sourced internationally from Japan, England, China, Taiwan and South Korea. The bikes are then finished in San Diego making it a truly global effort.

Established in London in 2018 producing limited production runs for the UK market, these cool retro machines are now available in a the USA, coast to coast. Cooler King’s latest partners in Florida include New Life Ebike Co. of Winter Springs, Level 10 Performance Motorsports of Ormond Beach and the famous Imperial Moto Cafe of Miami. These stores follow on from partnerships in California from San Francisco to San Diego with most spots in between, such as Revolution Bike Shop in Solana Beach and Ventura Beach Ebikes in Ventura.

David Mikelsen proprietor of Cooler King’s first dealer in Florida, New Life Ebike Co. observes, “Cooler King fits perfectly between other retro electric bicycles already well established in the US. Slotting neatly between Super 73 and Vintage and with a more attractive price point than both of them. Add to that the authentic vintage British flair and ‘wow factor’ you have the type of ebike that Steve McQueen or Marlon Brando would be riding if they were around still”.

So, what’s next after the sunshine states are conquered? “We’ll move up the east coast as the snow clears”, adds Myers, “We get a lot of enquiries from Virginia, New York and Boston, so expect to see Cooler ebikes dropping there soon”.
