Financial Joy School is pleased to announce its first Financial Family Reunion Summit, an annual program aimed at empowering Black and Brown families to build generational wealth. The summit will take place in celebration of Black history month February 11th, 2023, and provides attendees with the tools and resources necessary to secure their financial futures. Financial Family Reunion Summit was created by Howard University and Virginia Union University alumna Ruby “SunShine” Taylor, the founder, and CEO of Financial Joy School.
According to the CEO of Financial Joy School, Ruby Taylor, “It is crucial for Black families to be empowered to create wealth for ourselves and unborn generations. Our mission is to provide the education and support necessary to help families break the cycle of financial crisis and build a bright financial future for generations to come. The Summit is a unique opportunity for Black & Brown families to come together to learn about long-term investing, and planning. It is an important event for any Black or Brown family interested in building wealth for future generations.”
One of the primary goals of the Financial Family Reunion Summit is the elimination of the fear of investing that has prevented many Black and Brown families from identifying and seizing opportunities to invest and make wealth. The summit will feature speakers, workshops, interactive sessions on good debt vs. bad debt, understanding the differences between a stock and mutual fund, and various financial topics. It will help families and communities understand how to become long-term investors and plan for their financial future.
The 1st Annual Financial Family Reunion Summit, organized by Financial Joy School, is a free virtual summit to empower and inspire Black and Brown families to close the racial wealth gap and build intergenerational wealth. The event will be held on February 11th, 2023, and features speakers such as Ryan Boyles, Mary Robinson, Ollen Douglass, Tomeka L. Brown, Joshua Samuels, Ruby “SunShine” Taylor, and Kerri Carden.
Financial Joy School is committed to promoting investing education and empowering Black and Brown families to create wealth. The Financial Family Reunion Summit is just one way the school is working to make a difference in the lives of Black & Brown families.
At the summit, Financial Joy School will launch its web-based game tournament, Play Win Invest. The game is a free gamified tool to teach players how to build generational wealth and gives each a player an opportunity to win investing cash. “Our target demographic is young Black professionals and Black College Students between ages 18 to 39,” Ruby Taylor added.
The event is proudly sponsored by Trust & Will, Navy Federal Credit Union, and Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center. For more information, please visit https://financialjoyschool.com/summit22/.
