“LIFE S.U.C.K.S OR DOES IT?” is a groundbreaking new book that provides a unique and spiritually minded approach to coping with life’s challenges. With a unique artistic approach, the book offers valuable insights into:

      •  What perspective can do for your mental health

      •  An approach to achieving harmony between mind and soul

      •  Defining yourself in an ever-evolving world

      •  Who should you have in your life?

      •  Can love be achieved or is it impossible?

      •  What you can do to become a better version of yourself

      •  The power of spirituality and faith to find meaning

The book is based on Etienne’s years of experience working with behavioral health patients and offers a solution to the difficulties of life by providing a guide to introspection and self-discovery.

In “LIFE S.U.C.K.S OR DOES IT?”, Etienne addresses the current concern with suicide rates, rising depression, and other psychiatric problems by providing a guide to foster spiritual awareness and help individuals deal with life stressors. He uses a combination of art, pop culture, and soul music to tap into the soul and help readers rediscover insights within themselves.

Etienne, known as “Mr. Sonny” by his clients, has over two decades of experience working with children and families in various capacities, including Children’s Program Director, Residential Youth Counselor, Juvenile Probation Officer, and Psychotherapist. He has helped teens and adults involved in various programs, including the Department of Juvenile Justice, Child Net, Department of Children and Family, and Conditional Release programs. He also has experience working with patients admitted into Psychiatric hospitals, community-based mental health agencies, and substance abuse centers.

Advance praise for the book has been overwhelmingly positive. Dr. Jeff Randall, Clinical Psychologist and Assistant Professor at Medical University of South Carolina, states: “Like M. Scott Peck’s classic, “The Road Less Traveled,” Sonny Etienne’s “Life S.U.C.K.S. ..Or Does It” acknowledges that life can be difficult, but goes a step further by providing a unique blend of clinical, practical, and spiritual strategies to help readers navigate these difficulties through soul-searching from the inside out.”

“I am excited to share my insights and experiences with readers and help them discover a new perspective on dealing with life’s challenges,” said Etienne.
