HighCom Armor, an innovative manufacturer of personal protective equipment, announces the name change of the only true “rifle-rated” helmet on the market capable of defeating multiple rounds of rifle special threats.
The Striker RCH Level III+ Combat Helmet, formerly known as the Striker Arditi Level III+ Rifle Enhanced Combat Helmet, exceeds U.S. military specifications for ballistic threats, fragmentation, and blunt impact. The new name is a more succinct reflection of a product that delivers unrivaled protection. HighCom Armor’s aim is for the name of Striker RCH to be more in line with brand and industry standards.
“While we’ve changed the product name, the best-in-class engineering behind the helmet remains unchanged,” noted Nick Bell, VP of R&D Engineering at HighCom Armor in Columbus, OH. “The development of the RCH was a true collaboration between our Adelaide and Columbus facilities. The RCH has unmatched fragment resistance and is truly a rifle-rated helmet.”
High-quality craftsmanship and stellar performance are part of HighCom Armor’s engineering and manufacturing DNA. The Striker RCH delivers on both of these standards.
The Striker RCH stops multiple rifle threats, which include 7.62 x 51mm (M80), 7.62 x 39mm (M43 MSC), and 5.56 x 45mm (M193 FMJ). The helmet exceeds MIL-STD frag protection beyond any current protective helmet in theatre, which offers additional peace of mind. It is also up to 25 percent lighter than its competitors.
The Striker RCH is an advanced combat helmet (ACH)/enhanced combat helmet (ECH) design. It is available in three cuts named for easy identification: standard cut (Striker RCH), mid-cut (Striker RCHMC), and high cut (RCHHC).
