Premium Truck Driving Academy Opening Soon in Alabama

Empowering Truck Drivers through CDL Career Education Programs

VALLEY, Alabama – October 12, 2022 – Premium Truck Driving Academy announces the opening of its new training facility in Valley, Alabama. Pre-registration is expected as early as November 2022 with classes starting in January 2023. The school offers four-week courses preparing students to earn their commercial driver’s license (CDL) and ready themselves for a career in the trucking industry.

Premium Truck Driving Academy utilizes modern technologies that streamline traditional processes and offers significant in-person student support. The CDL training is delivered through interactive educational programs that are a hybrid of online learning, classroom, and behind the wheel instruction. The multi-faceted approach helps students prepare for the written and road test and gain valuable hands-on experience driving a semi-tractor trailer.

With a focus on student success, complementary, supplementary study sessions are offered to all trainees. In addition to this auxiliary support, students are guided to develop other competencies by incorporating principles of professional etiquette into their learning experience.

“Professionalism is an important skillset for career readiness and employment. When students meet with recruiters, it is essential they possess both the knowledge to drive a truck as well as professionalism,” says Premium Truck Driving Academy’s Vice President Glenda Walker.

Premium Truck Driving Academy’s goal is to empower drivers and strengthen local communities through its career education programs. It has partnered with the nonprofit Set Development, which assists formerly incarcerated individuals. Set Development services are available to graduates for a full year post graduation.

To further assist formerly incarcerated individuals who seek opportunities to rejoin the workforce, the Academy has partnered with Alabama Corrections to offer programs in conjunction with local Valley, Alabama community colleges.

The American Trucking Associations (ATA) estimates that over the next 10 years, the industry will have to recruit nearly 1,000,000 new drivers to replace retiring drivers and account for natural attrition. To fill those positions, trucking companies are offering attractive signing bonuses and benefit packages. The Academy works with trucking companies to fill vacancies as quickly as students graduate to meet the industry’s need for qualified CDL drivers.

Through multi-faceted curriculum and hands-on experience, Premium Truck Driving Academy is dedicated to preparing students for a successful, long career as a professional truck driver.
