Calgary-based Digital Skills program developer RoboGarden Inc. announces its renewed partnership with the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) to continue the delivery of digital skills programs for youth across Southern Alberta.
Purpose: With a focus on establishing foundational digital capabilities and enthusiasm for digital skills engagement though gamified programs that offer opportunities for skill application at each step of the learning journey, SAIT Youth Initiatives team and RoboGarden are preparing Southern Alberta students to maximize outcomes from the full catalogue of Digital Youth programs available from SAIT Youth Initiatives.
Why SAIT chose RoboGarden: SAIT Youth Initiatives chose RoboGarden Inc. as a local program build partner after learning both of RoboGarden success in offering digital skills development opportunities for elementary and middle-school aged students in Southern Alberta; and RoboGarden’s growing business in distributing digital skills education for learners of all ages via post-secondary partners in several global markets. Pilot programming in online, synchronous format was offered with excellent results in Summer 2021, since then the SAIT Youth Initiatives team and RoboGarden have been working to prepare for a full year of programs in 2022.
‘We are excited to share the continuation of our strong partnership with Robogarden. Our collaboration on digital programs is an excellent example as to how we can prepare our youth for the rapid pace of digital advancement. These programs demonstrate learning that inspires and enhances digital readiness, critical to the growth of technology – locally, provincially, and nationally.’
Dr. Raynie Wood, Dean – School for Advanced Digital Technology, SAIT“We are delighted that RoboGarden will continue to power digital skills development programming for SAIT Youth Initiatives camps in summer 2022,” says Dr. Mohamed Elhabiby, CEO, RoboGarden. “ Our first summer powering Build a Game and Build an App technology courses with SAIT Youth Initiatives in 2021 was a great success and we’re delighted that SAIT School for Advanced Technology has added additional RoboGarden powered camp options for summer 2022 including Introduction to Digital Transformation offered to High School age learners.
