7-year-old Atlanta native, Kase Williams, has launched a new business to help remind kids everywhere of how unique and special they are. Together with his mom, Rocky, the young and exuberant entrepreneur founded the Rock in the Pocket brand, which aims to place a friend in every child’s pocket.
Amidst the mental strain of the pandemic, the mother and son duo co-authored a book to tackle the challenging topics faced by many children worldwide and also serve as a fun, gentle introduction to reading. Also titled Rock in the Pocket, the new colourful children’s book follows the adventures of three little rocks aimed to pique the interest of young readers with captivating cartoon visuals.
Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, the concept for the Rock in the Pocket brand was born from the playful adventures of Kase and his cousin, Christopher, during the summer holidays. The two found immense joy in collecting little pieces of rocks and were fascinated by how unique and special each rock was.
As a business, Rock in the Pocket will feature hand-painted rocks that little children can take with them everywhere. It also comes with an illustrated book, along with apparel and various accessories. Rock in the Pocket represents a close friend always within reach, and Kase has hinted that his dream is to make his little rocks available at stores like Target and Walmart, so kids everywhere can find them and feel special.
Rock in the Pocket will be launched on Kase’s birthday – on the 30th of July 2022, with a Free Backpack Drive where 100 backpacks containing essential school supplies will be freely distributed to kids.
