6 Top Tips for a Successful Body Transformation.

It doesn’t matter what the goal is, to lose fat or tone up; hard work is needed to get to the results. The most important thing is that the decision is made to do this.

Whether the transformation has started or not help is needed, the following tips can be of great help. These tips will allow the process to be a lot easier.

1. Ease into It

Probably the most important tip. A transformation is a marathon, not a sprint.

Going from being an inactive person to going to the gym 7 days a week isn’t reasonable, and isn’t maintainable. Also, Diet. People go from eating junk to eating clean 24/7 and then fail.

Take baby steps – workout 3 times a week, start with a small caloric deficit. Then, as time goes on, move forward.

Goal – stay consistent.

2. Respect Recovery

It’s important to recover.

Early on, it’s difficult to have the same tolerance to physical activity as a regular gym-goer.

The body adapts during rest.

Weight loss won’t happen if sleep is poor and hormones are out of whack.

3. Set Achievable Goals and Then Break Them Down into Smaller Goals.

Being realistic with goal-setting is the difference between failure & success.

After setting realistic goals, it’s time to break them down into smaller goals. For example, planning to lose 5 stone in a year is great, but that year is a long time, and sometimes it might seem far away.

By making sure the big goals are chunked down into bite-sized goals, progress can be tracked and makes sure the road is straight.

Achieving goals on a steady basis can be a huge motivation boost!

4. Plan for Cheat Days

Even the hardcore bodybuilders have cheat days. These “cheat days” help us stay true to our goals when we are actually following a diet.

A recent study showed that people who enjoyed a cheat day once a week had increased motivation and self-control when it came to dieting.

Both groups in the study, achieved almost identical weight loss. Dieting can be challenging, and cheat days can help make it fun.

5. Take Progress Pics

Taking progress pics is a must. Stash them somewhere so they can be retrieved at any time.

6. Get a Coach

If there’s something that will help achieve the goals required, that’s a coach. Not only will accountability go up, but a coach will do everything in their power to help.

From structuring workouts to putting together a nutrition plan, a coach will be the second biggest advantage on the path to success.

The first is discipline.
