Ted’s Pawn Shop, the largest of the independent pawn shops in Cincinnati Ohio, successfully acquired and assimilated the outstanding pawn loans and retail inventory from one of its local competitors in the Cincinnati Market. The pawn market has been in a downturn for the past two years, forcing many pawn operations to downsize, consolidate, and close. Classic Pawn, in Mason, was one of those shops. As one of the longest-running and largest pawnshops in the Greater Cincinnati Market, Ted’s has been able to weather the economic downturn due to its established loan base and full line pawnshop operation.
Ted’s also won Best Pawn Shop in the City for the 13th year in a row. President, James R. Tincher said the following, “Pawnbrokers nationwide have seen their lending operations tank.
